Pro-Am Jam
USPA Convention & IPA Convention and Festival
Every year at the United States Polka Association Convention and the International Polka Association Festival and Convention, the Pro-Am Jam is one of the highlights at both events.
Conceived by Randy Koslosky, this event gives young, aspiring polka musicians an opportunity to perform alongside some of their favorite “Pro” Polka musicians. Randy spends many hours selecting the music, charting the sheet music for every instrument (trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, accordion, concertina, violin, bass, drums etc.) at both beginning and advanced levels. Some songs are chosen to spotlight certain instruments or to pay tribute to newly inducted Hall of Fame recipients. Other songs may inspire crowd participation sing-alongs and group choreography. A “loose” script is put together for young emcees to announce songs and dedications to keep the Jam moving along.
Anyone who is 21 years old or younger that plays an instrument and/or sings and is interested in participating in the Pro-Am Jam, please click here to send an email to get more information.
